QA Engineer

Infoplaza, known for brands such as Weeronline, Buienalarm, Weerplaza, etc., is looking for a QA engineer to work on improving and maintaining the quality of our websites and mobile applications. We develop applications for consumers and businesses, with information about weather forecasts and mobility (traffic and public transport).

As a QA engineer you play an important role in the success of our company. You take ownership of QA for apps and websites and known every detail of our products. You help contribute to our QA process, to improve its scalability, repeatability, and stability. You will be working as part of the development team to test our product and provide our users with the best experience. You are familiar with and implement best practices in test automation to increase our automated test coverage. You write clear instructions and structured documentation on the tests you perform. You will also help to supply the team with the best information to troubleshoot issues. In this position you will have a lot of freedom to improve our processes.

You will be working in an international team of developers where your contribution will be highly visible. Within our team you get the freedom to apply your own ideas and have an impact on the organization. We believe in continuously improving processes and exchanging experiences. We are an agile organization, where you as a team estimate what a feasible amount of work is, and work towards it together. You have daily contact with your team to coordinate what is going well and where help is needed. We finish features and release them on a regular basis, we don’t do big bang releases. If a customer has a wish, we quickly address it and continue until the customer is satisfied.

• You have at least 3 years’ experience as QA engineer in software development.• You have some experience in mobile and web test automation.• Experience with, Appium, WebdriverIO, Android Studio and Xcode.• You have (some) experience in API testing (using for example postman).• You have strong experience in manual testing, test organization, test execution and reporting.• Experience with CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins, Bitrise, Azure Devops).• You are confident in the quality of your work and can step up and take responsibility for a release.• You are, and continue to be, well informed of developments in your field.• You have excellent analytical skills.• You are independent, self-organizing and able to work on complex projects.• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.

This is provided from Infoplaza Business. Here we help make our customers’ decision-making process more efficient during weather sensitive operations.

Our head office is located in Houten (UT), and we also have an office in Amsterdam.

We develop using a wide range of technologies, but most of our work is done in C# and .Net. Additionally, we do our web development using Angular, React, Javascript and Typescript. Our core systems are written in C#, .Net and Python. These systems are deployed as a docker in our rancher cluster. We use a wide range of databases, each chosen to be the best for the job. These databases range from MS SQL, MYSQL and Postgres to Redis. We also develop mobile apps in house, both for iOS and Android.
