Team Lead AdOps

We are looking for a Senior AdOps Specialist with extensive knowledge of programmatic trading and display advertising and excellent management skills to lead our AdOps team


You are able to take a helicopter view on the programmatic setup of our brands (such as Weeronline, Buienalarm, Weerplaza and more) and see where optimization could bring a revenue uplift. You are the subject matter expert in programmatic advertising.As Team Lead AdOps you manage the AdOps team of 3 specialist and together you are responsible for the programmatic advertising by continuously monitoring, optimizing, and reporting on our advertising performance across all platforms. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ad tech implementation, QA, yield optimization and providing performance analysis and reports which support our commercial, content and product development activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with the latest tools and developments to manage the monetization of all our web/app properties.
  • Participating in the shaping of the Identity Strategy and corporate Trimester Planning and overseeing implementation alongside other team leads in the organization.
  • Setting up a middle and long-term programmatic strategy.
  • Defining an inventory- pricing and segment strategy.
  • Coach and motivate the AdOps team members.
  • Compile, analyze, and provide regular reporting to management.
  • Manage the day-to-day performance analysis and provide reports on these web and app properties.
  • Yield management.
  • Set-up QA within the various tools used in the organization.
  • Involved in innovative projects and managing the implementation from start to finish.
  • Providing advice towards the developers e.g., by preparing implementation documentation.
  • Perform necessary modifications to guarantee the best performance to reach programmatic and commercial goals.
  • Maintaining (operational) contact with commercial partners like SPP partners.
  • Implement, test and troubleshoot integration of 3rd party vendors on new Header Bidding, yield partners and new technologies.
  • Supporting Marketing by developing the buy-side to run our own campaigns for our B2C and B2B brands.
  • Managing communication with agencies on ongoing and upcoming programmatic and direct deals.
  • Proactively initiating new ideas and solutions to optimize our business.
  • Work closely with other colleagues in the team to achieve team goals.

  • Bachelor’s degree, with demonstrable analytical skills.
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience within a business environment.
  • Experience with leading a team.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of digital advertising ecosystem and technologies.
  • Creative and innovative mindset and flexibility when encountering opportunities and challenges – you’re always seeking for solutions for the best result.
  • You have a can-do attitude, and you pay attention to details.
  • You are a self-starter and well organized.
